Professional Experience

Ray Townsend, a Senior Vice President, joined CB Richard Ellis in 2005 as a multi family specialist within the Edmonton-based National Apartment Group.The team also includes Paul Gemmel and Bradley Gingerich.

The National Apartment Group - Edmonton team specializes in commercial property acquisition, deposition, evaluation and consulting.  In addition to the acquisition and deposition of several thousand apartment units, the team has worked closely with developers purchasing key residential locations throughout Edmonton, Northern Alberta and Northeastern B.C.  To 2007, the team's developer clients have added approximately 3,500 residential rental, and 1,000 condo units to the market.  Ray had his colleagues have facilitated the sale of over $2 Billion worth of residential real estate.

The Edmonton National Investment Team won the Richard A. Pogue Award for Top Team in Canada - 2006 and 2007 

Ray has 35 years of commercial real estate experience throughout Western Canada and the U.S. Before joining CB Richard Ellis, his positions included Vice President of Development for a Winnipeg based real estate development company, and Vancouver-based pension funds advisor. Ray is a past Board member of the Edmonton Apartment Association and frequent speaker on the Edmonton multi-family real estate market.
