Jim Szabo has over 30 years experience in the real estate business, focusing on major investment properties comprising office, retail, and industrial properties and portfolios in the Western Canada market. Mr. Szabo, Executive Vice President and Managing Director of CBRE’s National Investment Properties Group, together with partner, Mr. Tony Quattrin, are responsible for institutional grade transactions throughout Western Canada. Mr. Szabo was involved in major real estate investment transactions totalling over $5.7 Billion since 2005, and has been the highest producer in the Vancouver office for 25 out of the last 30 years. Jim was also the top producer for CBRE Canada-wide 6 times and has been consistently in the top 4 nation-wide for CBRE over the past 25 years. Mr. Szabo’s volume ranges from $650 Million to $1.2 Billion annually in transaction value. Together with Mr. Quattrin, Mr. Szabo has held a market leading 30% of the total investment market in Greater Vancouver over the past 3 years, and over 50% share of the market in 2009. Mr. Szabo was also a member of the Colbert Coldwell Circle in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010 recognizing the top 50 brokers in North America for CB Richard Ellis.

A founding member of CB Commercial Canada, Jim was a senior shareholder in the company prior to the merger with CB Richard Ellis and served as a board member of the company and its property management division.
