CBRE Appoints Avi Krispine to Lead Quebec Operations

Appointment marks transformational year for CBRE in Montreal

Montreal – September 8, 2016 – CBRE Limited, the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm (‘CBRE’), is proud to announce new leadership for its Montreal office and Quebec operations with Avi Krispine promoted to Executive Vice-President & Managing Director. Avi’s new leadership marks a transformational year of growth for CBRE in Montreal, which recently relocated to the heart of Montreal’s financial core and opened one of the most advanced workplaces in Canada.

“From day one, Avi has been a rising star at CBRE and during his ten-plus year career with us he has evolved into one of the top young and innovative commercial real estate leaders in all of Quebec. His market knowledge is a competitive advantage for our clients and he will broaden our range of services across the marketplace. With Avi’s energy and enthusiasm, combined with our global reach, we are set for an exciting phase of growth in Quebec,” commented Mark Renzoni, President and Chief Executive Officer of CBRE Canada.

Avi joined CBRE in 2006 from NKF Devencore to establish its Montreal suburban market office. The office saw exponential growth under Avi’s leadership, expanding from three people to over 70 through both organic and acquisitive growth. Avi’s role expanded to also include responsibilities for CBRE’s Downtown Montreal location and, in 2009, he took control of its Valuation and Advisory Services (‘VAS’) group. In 2012, Avi was promoted to Vice-President and Sales Manager for the Province of Quebec. This role saw him direct all brokerage activities in the Province as well as provide executive oversight for CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions and VAS business lines. With Avi’s guidance, CBRE’s Quebec platform has doubled in both revenue and headcount over the last 10 years to over 150 professionals.

"Avi’s leadership skills and accomplishments have earned him the respect of our entire platform and the Quebec marketplace. What is especially pleasing is that we have been able to reach into CBRE and promote from within and, for me, this speaks volumes about the strength and depth of talent we have at our Company," added Renzoni.

To underscore CBRE’s commitment to the Montreal market, the Downtown Montreal office recently underwent CBRE’s national Canadian Workplace Transformation program and was strategically relocated to 1250 René-Lévesque Boulevard West. The new office is one of the most forward-thinking and healthiest workplace environments in Quebec. To ensure all employees enjoy the health benefits of natural light, no employee is more than 25 feet from natural sunlight or views. All employees use Sit-Stand workstations to encourage physical mobility throughout the office space. This increased mobility is supported by enhanced technology to allow employees to move and work seamlessly from any location not only in the Montreal office, but CBRE offices nationally. The new client hospitality areas also provide co-working spaces for clients whether they are visiting for a few hours or working from CBRE’s space for a week or longer.

Commenting on his new role, Avi Krispine, Executive Vice-President & Managing Director at CBRE Canada, said, “CBRE has been my home for more than a decade and it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to lead so many talented and dedicated people within our Quebec platform.

"We have a culture of entrepreneurship that drives us to go above and beyond to help our clients turn real estate in to real advantages for their business. When you then combine a world-class workplace to this mix, it’s the perfect time to build on our market leadership position. We have a space that allows us to work smarter through enhanced technology, to be more mobile and connected as a business, as well as benefitting from an environment that promotes employee wellness and demonstrates our market leadership.
“There has never been a more exciting time to lead our Quebec business and my goals are firmly set on taking our impressive track record of growth to the next level," added Krispine.
