CBRE Continues Expansion with a New Office in Saskatoon

CBRE’s Saskatoon office will service businesses across the province

SASKATOON, September 22, 2014 – Saskatchewan continues to attract businesses from across the country and around the world, including a new office for CBRE Limited, the world’s largest commercial real estate services firm. CBRE’s first office in the province is located in Saskatoon and will provide businesses with access to CBRE’s global network of 350 offices and over 44,000 real estate professionals.

“More and more, Saskatchewan is entering into strategic growth conversations with national and global clients,” said Mark Renzoni, President & CEO of CBRE Limited. “We look forward to working closely with business leaders across Saskatchewan and building on CBRE’s Canadian platform in Western Canada.”

Michael Bratvold, Associate Vice President with CBRE, will return to his home province and lead CBRE’s brokerage operation in Saskatoon. Michael has spent the past decade working out of CBRE’s Edmonton office and is familiar with all commercial asset classes.

“The resource boom continues to shape cities and towns across Saskatchewan. As a result of the growth and increasing complexity of real estate in the province, businesses need access to comprehensive market research, high caliber underwriting and the sophisticated analysis and real estate guidance that CBRE is known for globally,” said Bratvold. “It’s an exciting time to live and work in Saskatchewan, and I look forward to helping businesses with their commercial real estate decisions during this period of change.”

CBRE’s Saskatoon office will be located at 410 – 22nd Street, Suite 920 in Saskatoon Square, but will service businesses looking to lease, sell or acquire commercial real estate across Saskatchewan. The greater Saskatoon area has 298,000 residents and is the largest city in the province; however, natural resource exploration has attracted businesses and skilled workers to cities and towns across the province. The population of Saskatoon grew 3.0 per cent in 2013, some of the most significant growth for a Canadian municipality in the last 15 years. Saskatchewan has an increasingly diverse economy, quality education institutions, and a growing energy sector which is attracting investment from all over the world.

“The active business climate, wealth of natural resources, and growing population bode well for the commercial real estate market and CBRE’s new office in Saskatchewan,” said Renzoni.
