Ottawa - 6 June 2012 The Town of Lincoln and CBRE Limited (NYSE:CBG) recently announced that the contract for delivering Project Management and Specifications Consulting Services for the new Lincoln Community Complex, a 46,000 Square Foot facility, has been awarded to CBRE.
As the community centrepiece the new Community Complex will be a modern, efficient, environmentally conscious facility that is physically accessible, adaptable, comfortable and welcoming for all. The new complex will provide;
- A regulation, NHL-sized arena ice surface to host larger tournaments and trade shows.
- Seating increase from 240 to approximately 500 seats – to accommodate large community events year round.
- Double the current library space.
- Shared community space to meet a variety of needs and activities in the community.
- Convenient downtown location, close to shopping and walking and cycling trails.
CBRE will provide comprehensive management and control over all aspects of the project to ensure the new facility meets the Town of Lincoln’s requirements and goal of becoming a focal point in the community to help spark the revitalization of the downtown core.
The Town of Lincoln is located in the Niagara Peninsula, bordering Lake Ontario. It is a Greenbelt community with a population of 23.200 persons and is expected to grow to 29,100 persons by 2031. The new Community Complex will be located in the Beamsville community that has approximately seventy percent of the Town's total population, about 16,200 persons.
