Professional Experience

Mr. Shackell obtained his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from Brock University, and went on to enter commercial real estate.  In the research and analysis division of a major real estate firm, he played a key role in the introduction and maintenance of the database management system. 

Ian joined the brokerage side in 1986, specializing in industrial sales and leasing and investment real estate. His expertise has lead to many successful sales and leasing campaigns throughout his career.  He has accomplished these goals by consistently understanding his client’s goals and then focusing all available resources in achieving them in an expeditious manner.

In June 1999 he jointly founded the Ottawa office of CBRE Limited where he is currently Vice President. His participation in the Corporate Advisory Services Group has augmented his ability to service all his clients’ real estate needs, locally and internationally.

Ian is married with four children, and is actively involved in the Osgoode/Rideau Minor Hockey Association, both playing and coaching.
