Professional Experience
Dietmar Sommerfeld has been active in the Technology Triangle Real Estate Market for 30 years. He has successfully completed over 1,500 sales and lease assignments. This includes successful projects in the office, investment, retail, land and industrial specialties.
Before joining CBRE Limited in 1999, Dietmar launched, built and sold two highly successful commercial brokerage companies. He has advised on and completed a variety of commercial assignments for clients throughout the Waterloo Region and Southern Ontario.
In 2002 the Kitchener-Waterloo Real Estate Board recognized Dietmar's contribution to the industry and community by awarding him the "Claude E. Dubrick Realtor Merit Award". Dietmar is currently serving as a director of the Kitchener Waterloo Realtors Association and is serving his 4th year as a director of Lutherwood - a not for profit organization that provides a wide range of mental health employment development, housing and family support services. www.lutherwood.ca
In addition to an active and ongoing traditional brokerage business, Dietmar has first hand experience and continues to be involved as a principal in real estate investment development projects and syndications in the Waterloo Region and Southern Ontario. This provides cllients an additional insight and experienced counsel.

Meet the Other Team Members
Michael Black - Sales Representative is involved in Industrial sales, leasing and investment. His main focus is to service industrial tenants and buyers, maintain relationships and generate new prospects for our existing inventory. Michael’s family hails from Tillsonburg, he was an All Canadian Football player from Acadia University. Michael’s original real estate training took place at our Calgary office and he joined our team in September 2005.
Todd Cooney - Sales Representative, is involved in the leasing and sales of office space and investment sales. His main focus is to generate new office users, market analysis and strategic business planning. Todd’s family is from Burlington and he attended Wilfred Laurier University from 2001-2005 finishing his final year as Captain of the Championship Winning Golden Hawks Basketball Team.
