Professional Experience


Paul joined CBRE Limited in June 2004 as Vice President of the Ottawa office, after spending 18 years with J.J Barnicke (now DTZ) in Toronto.  Paul's career has focused on representing tenant's real estate requirements from lease renewals, to premise relocations to strategic portfolio reviews. 

Paul specializes in a full turnkey approach with his clients real estate issues.  From market overviews, lease reviews, selection of other required specialist, market surveys, site tours and Offer/Lease negotiations; attention to detail is paramount.  This can be best demonstrated by Paul's meticulous approach to negotiating a lease document on behalf of his clients.

Paul's expertise ranges from working with small local companies to large national firms with multiple leases in various city centers. 

Some of Paul's more recent notable transactions have been the following:
  • Securing 315,000 SF of 5 year swing space for the Bank of Canada
  • Negotiating the 67,000 SF lease renewal for VIA Rail’s Canadian head office in Montreal, Quebec
  • Sale of Alterna's (formerly CS Coop’s) downtown office building site and the negotiation and implementation of a new build of 73,000 SF in Westboro
  • Relocating Genband Canada from the former Nortel facility to a new Canadian head office at 500 Palladium Drive, Kanata for 73,000 SF
  • Renewal of Public Works Canada (PWGSC) within the VIA Rail Winnipeg station for 69,000 SF


The above noted transactions required various skill sets and expertise.  The expertise combined with Paul's "second to none" reputation within the development community has proven to be extremely beneficial to his clients when negotiating real estate transactions.

Paul is married with three children, and dedicates much of his spare time to not for profit sports organizations.
