• Tenant activity remains positive but has softened since September due to weakness in Japan and Korea. Increased activity was observed in Australia, Hong Kong SAR and South East Asia in October.

  • About 60% of respondents reported no change in demand for flexible office space in October.

 

  • Rents continue to face downward pressure, particularly in Hong Kong SAR, Japan and Singapore, while those in Korea and India were stable. Half of respondents reported an increase in incentive levels.

 

  • Overall leasing sentiment remains negative. Mainland China and South East Asia are the only markets where leasing sentiment is positive. Landlords’ negotiation strength weakened further regionwide in October.
