Due to general lockdowns and economic restrictions, the office demand in major CEE capitals witnessed a clear slowdown in Q2 as it was expected. Measured in the CEE-6 capitals*, total take-up** in H1 2020 reached 577,500 sq m – down by 35% on the same period last year. The biggest decline in demand was registered in Bucharest (-60%) and Budapest (-49%), in cities with above-average take-up levels previous year. On the other hand, Bratislava (-6%) and Warsaw (-16%) saw the smallest contraction in office take-up during this period.
