•National investment volumes totalled $10.9 billion over 1,773 transactions in Q3 2019. This marked the second consecutive quarter where national volumes totalled over $10.0 billion. The total seen in Q3 2019 was also well above the five-year trailing quarterly average of $9.3 billion.

•The three most active asset classes by total volume in Q3 2019 were the industrial, office and ICI land sectors which saw acquisitions total $3.1, $2.6 and $2.1 billion, respectively.

•The three largest transactions in Q3 2019 were the sale of the East Harbour Lands in Toronto to Cadillac Fairview for $690.0 million, the sale of Stantec Tower in Edmonton to Deka Immobilien for $517.5 million and the sale of 700 de la Gauchetière in Montreal to Allied REIT for $322.5 million.

•The most active purchasers in Q3 2019 were Private Canadian Investors, Pension Funds/Advisors and Foreign investors. These groups accounted for 28.4%, 22.8% and 20.5% of acquisitions over the period, respectively.
