       Overall retail vacancy has increased by 30 basis points (bps) from H1 2024, with vacancy currently sitting at 5.7%.

       Vacancy did fall in the Northwest, Southeast, and St. Albert, with several other submarkets also recording strong leasing activity across multiple asset types.

       Regional malls experienced the greatest change in occupancy with a 310 bps decline in vacancy from the previous half.

       Edmonton's food scene continues to gain considerable traction as several local restaurant's gained notoriety by earning a spot on Open Table’s Top 100 Restaurants in Canada list.

       Ultimately, Edmonton’s retail market ended the year on a strong note, despite a modest 38,580 sq. ft of net negative absorption this half, the market ended the year with 148,475 sq. ft. of net positive absorption.
