Ryan Clayton is the Senior Managing Director, and Country Lead - Operations for CBRE’s Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) business in Canada. As Country Lead, Ryan supports more than 1,900 employees, 70 client accounts and 190 million square feet of real estate, representing $1 billion in revenue. In this role, he is responsible for the proficient operation of existing client accounts as well as the sustained growth of the GWS business across Canada. Ryan is also executive sponsor for CBRE’s Indigenous engagement strategy and programs in Canada and President of Alliance Facility Solutions, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of CBRE providing operations and maintenance services to the Province of British Columbia’s public sector real estate portfolio.

Over his 13 year career with CBRE, Ryan has worked closely with clients across a broad range of sectors, including government, health care, tech/telecom, oil & gas, industrial, and financial services. His dedication to CBRE’s people and clients translates into outstanding results, leading to increased revenues, operating profits, and employee engagement.

Career Achievements and Account Successes

Ryan joined CBRE in 2010 as Deputy Alliance Director on the Infrastructure Ontario Account and was promoted to Senior Alliance Director in November 2011 with responsibility for a client portfolio in excess of 47M square feet and $600M in client spend.

Prior to joining CBRE, he held senior leadership roles within Ontario Realty Corporation and Brookfield LePage Johnson Controls.

Ryan held the position of Senior Vice President of Project Services at Ontario Realty Corporation (now known as Infrastructure Ontario) where he acquired significant experience in the delivery of major infrastructure projects using the Public Private Partnership (PPP) or Alternative Financing and Procurement (AFP) delivery model.

With Brookfield LePage Johnson Controls, Ryan's broad range of clients included the government (Canada Post Corporation and Public Works Government Service Canada), health care, high tech (EDS, Telus, Ericsson, and Motorola) and commercial sectors.

Trained in Architectural Technology, Ryan’s 20 years of experience in Corporate Real Estate includes operations and facilities management, asset management, lease administration, project management, as well as contract management and governance.
