CBRE's committment to Reconciliation
Released in 2022 and developed in consultation with Creative Fire, CBRE’s Inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan is a direct response to Call to Action No. 92, from the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada which calls on corporate Canada “to adopt the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as a reconciliation framework and to apply its principles, norms, and standards to corporate policy and core operational activities involving Indigenous Peoples and their lands and resources.”
In addition, this plan seeks to strengthen relationships between Canadian Indigenous people and non-Indigenous people, for the benefit of all at CBRE and Canada.
Five strategic pillars support CBRE’s ongoing RAP journey.

Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR)
CBRE is a Partnership Accreditation in Indigenous Relations (PAIR) Committed company. We are in the beginning stages of tracking and managing our Indigenous relations strategies and efforts. We intend to further verify our performance and seek certification in 2025. This represents our commitment to continual improvement in Indigenous relations and to working across cultures.

- Strong Reconciliation governance: CBRE has set its Reconciliation journey on the right path by creating a dedicated team to champion its Reconciliation actions and strategies
- Distinct, bilateral communications strategy with accountable leadership and channels: CBRE has integrated its communication strategy into its broader Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) strategy.
- Improved inclusivity for Indigenous Peoples: updated internal policies to be more inclusive of Indigenous Peoples with ongoing outreach to attract Indigenous talent.
- Training and resources to further Indigenous understanding: resources to assist employees in their professional and personal Reconciliation journeys.
- Indigenous procurement partners: CBRE has worked to improve its Indigenous supplier base, by participating in outreach to attract Indigenous businesses and onboarding Indigenous suppliers.
