Mark Sparrow*

Mark Sparrow is National Practice Lead, Executive Vice President of CBRE’s National Alternative Assets platform in Canada, based in Toronto. Mark recently founded the CBRE Alternative Assets group with a focus on operating businesses within commercial real estate. With this initiative, Mark leads a dynamic team of high performers that intersect and partner with multiple verticals including Hotels & Resorts, Senior Living, Student Housing and Self Storage. This is the first practice of this kind in Canada that brings together the wealth of expertise within operating business in multiple sectors forming a unique position for CBRE as the leader in Alternative asset classes to institutional investors globally.

In all, he has been responsible for over $8.5 billion in investment sales over his career between Colliers, JLL and CBRE. He is a recognized speaker at industry events in both Canada as well as the United States and is a guest lecturer at Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Prior to joining CBRE’s, Mark was Executive Vice President and National Practice Lead at JLL leading their Hotels & Hospitality Practice in Canada and has over 15 years in investment sales experience between Colliers, JLL and CBRE.
