Chris Kuno is the Associate Vice President of Development Strategy & Consulting at CBRE and focuses on asset repositioning, special district planning, economic development, portfolio strategy, and policy creation. His work revolves around leveraging real estate assets to create financially sustainable destinations with unique identity and character. Chris has worked for over 70 clients in the public and private sectors ranging from regional and federal governments, international property funds, and tertiary institutions. Planning and portfolio due diligence completed to date exceeds $2.2 billion in total transaction value.
A registered planner with the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), Co-Chair of the Urban Land Institute's Young Leaders Group, and a guest lecturer at SFU and UBC, Chris is an active member of the planning and real estate community.
Previous to CBRE, Chris was the Director of Planning & Placemaking at an international commercial real estate firm in both Canada and Australia. He holds a Master of Urban Planning degree with a specialization in Real Estate and Development from McGill University. Previous to his work as a planner, Chris was a baseball coach with MLB China in Shanghai and a professional baseball player in Europe.
