Grant Uba

With over 44 years of experience in the public and private sectors, Grant Uba has a diversified appraisal background with experience in the valuation of vacant land, residential, multi-residential, commercial and industrial properties.

Grant’s core professional interest is valuation and advisory issues relating to the effects on property value that a detrimental condition, which may be legal, external, physical, or environmental in nature, may have on property value. In addition, Grant provides valuations for the reset of base rent for in long-term ground leases and for renewal rent for commercial leases, and to estimate the value of licensed pits and quarries.

Grant provides valuations to assist in resolving disputes involving real property and determining compensation payable to property owners arising from expropriations. He has appeared as an expert witness before the Ontario Municipal Board, now the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and in private arbitrations.
