My path to commercial real estate started in Greece, when I discovered a passion for numbers.
After completing a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, I moved to Vancouver for a Master’s in Business Analytics at UBC and planned to start a career in the investments field.
Some of my family members worked in real estate and convinced me to explore options in the field, so I took up an internship doing data analysis with the CBRE Vancouver Research team. By the end of my placement, it became clear that this was the industry for me.
I now work full-time as a Financial Analyst, where I help investment brokers primarily with underwriting, due diligence and investment analysis of all types of commercial investment properties. I am also working closely with the Research department where I take over data analysis projects that require the use of advanced computer programming.
Despite my age, my knowledge of math has allowed me to quickly gain exposure to complex deals and become responsible for communicating intricate investment information into simpler terms. My attention to detail, my optimism and my commitment to creating quality work can help you reap the benefits from your real estate decisions.
