Professional Experience
Jon Ramscar is the President and Chief Executive Officer of CBRE Limited in Canada. He has broad responsibility and authority across the entire Canadian organization for overall leadership and performance. His mandate includes service line excellence, operating efficiencies and an acute focus on CBRE’s client services and overall market leadership.
Jon previously served as Executive Vice President & Managing Director in Downtown Toronto, as well as National Managing Director leading the Canadian Private Capital Group and Debt & Structured Finance businesses for CBRE Canada.
Prior to CBRE Canada, Jon established and led a global capital markets platform in Western Canada with one of the largest global real estate service providers. On moving to Canada in 2011, Jon initially joined CBRE’s National Investment team in Vancouver where he gained exposure to Canada’s national investment community across all asset classes. Jon began his real estate career in the UK where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with the RICS and gained agency experience in office leasing, corporate finance and client-side experience in funds management. Jon has provided both advisory and transactional services for local, national and global clients. He was part of over $4.9 billion of transactions in the Canadian market during his time in Capital Markets and is highly regarded as a client-facing leader who represents the next generation and innovation of commercial real estate services.
In addition to his role leading Canada’s largest commercial real estate service provider, Jon is one of the three founding members of the Toronto Region Board of Trade’s Business Council of Toronto (BCT), a group of influential leaders across Canada’s largest organizations committed to driving innovative solutions and advocacy with local and national government.
Jon is a graduate of the University of Birmingham, UK, and also holds a master’s in real estate from the University of Reading, UK. Philanthropy and giving back to our community is core to Jon’s values and he plays a key role in the Toronto community serving on the Campaign Cabinet for SickKids Hospital Foundation, contributing to the Heal the Future Campaign that will focus on raising over $2.5 Billion to powering advances in child healthcare through Precision Child Health.
