Jim Ward is the New President of CBRE Capital

We are very pleased to announce an important new senior leadership appointment.

Jim Ward has joined CBRE as President of CBRE Capital and Head of Debt & Structured Finance Canada. We are excited to have Jim join our Executive Leadership Team and direct the continued growth of CBRE Capital and its services.

Jim is a highly respected leader in Canadian real estate finance, with an exceptional track record of building successful teams and driving significant growth. He joins us from QuadReal, where, as Managing Director of Canadian Real Estate Debt, he and his team more than doubled their Canadian debt portfolio in just five years, leading a team of 30 professionals and opening three offices across the country.

Prior to his time at QuadReal, Jim held senior leadership roles at Wells Fargo Bank, CIBC, Redcliff Realty, and Merrill Lynch. His extensive experience includes leading the first-ever international expansion for Wells Fargo Bank's commercial mortgage business into Canada, and a proven history of being a top originator and innovator in the real estate finance sector.

CBRE Capital is an increasingly important differentiator for our clients looking to strategize, structure and execute best-in-class financing solutions. We now arrange over $5.0 billion of debt a year. As a CMHC approved lender, we are originating, funding, and servicing loans in the multifamily sector. Our growth will include an expanded focus on all asset classes in Canadian real estate, as Jim and his team build out the platform.
